Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CastWyrd™ (the Service) — including the website at castwyrd.com and the corresponding iOS and Android applications — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

AI-Generated Interpretation — Entertainment Only

All rune interpretations generated by CastWyrd are produced by AI language models drawing on the traditional meanings of the Elder Futhark. They are offered solely for spiritual entertainment, contemplation, and personal reflection. They are not predictions of future events and are not professional advice of any kind — not medical, not financial, not legal, not psychological, not relationship counseling. You agree not to make important life decisions based solely on a reading from this Service, and you agree to seek qualified professional advice for matters that warrant it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload images containing illegal, harmful, abusive, sexually explicit, or offensive content; not to upload images of other people without their consent; not to attempt to circumvent rate limits, content filters, or security measures; not to use automated tools to access the Service in bulk; and not to engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service or its users. We use automated image verification to enforce these rules at upload time, and we reserve the right to refuse or remove any submission and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate them.

Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may delete your account at any time from the account page. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Purchases — Digital Goods and Premium

CastWyrd sells one-time digital goods, including cosmetic mat and rune skins and a Premium upgrade that removes advertisements, unlocks bundled cosmetic content, and enables saved-reading history. All purchases are one-time and non-recurring; CastWyrd does not currently offer any subscription product. Web purchases are processed by Stripe. iOS in-app purchases are processed by Apple under the App Store's terms. Android in-app purchases are processed by Google under Google Play's terms. Purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law, or where you contact us at the address below and we agree to issue a refund at our discretion. For web purchases handled by Stripe, you may also contact Stripe through their standard dispute and refund process. Pricing and the specific benefits included with each purchase are presented at the point of purchase. Past purchases and entitlements can be reviewed on your account page (web) or through the App Store / Google Play purchase history (mobile).

Account Termination and Data

You may delete your account at any time, which removes your stored profile, preferences, and saved readings from our systems. Cosmetic items you have purchased are tied to your account; if you delete the account, your access to those items is removed as well, and we are not obligated to restore or refund them on a subsequent account. If we terminate your account for a violation of these Terms, the same applies — purchases tied to the terminated account are forfeited to the extent permitted by law.

Advertising

The free version of CastWyrd displays third-party advertisements (currently Google AdSense). We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for any products or services advertised. Advertising practices are described in greater detail in our privacy policy.

Intellectual Property

The CastWyrd name, logo, design, original written content, and AI-prompted interpretations are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any images you upload; by uploading an image you grant us a limited, temporary, non-exclusive license to process it for the sole purpose of generating your reading, after which the image is discarded.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, in the law, or in our practices. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be brought to your attention through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CastWyrd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
